DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Write cost estimates for natural and accelerated weathering tests
Follow up on cost estimates requested but not received
Customer education and test program setup
Assist with other sales contacts as necessary
Enter miscellaneous events into client contact database
Other tasks as necessary or required

SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Scientific background or affinity is required
Minimum Associate’s degree in a science or technology field

Previous experience in a Customer Service position is preferred
Have a good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
Skill in digital and verbal communication is a must
Must be detailed and excellent at documentation
Fluency in written and spoken English required
Additional fluency in Mandarin Chinese or German preferred, but not required

INTER-RELATIONSHIPS
Work with the Technical Services Coordinator to coordinate sales follow up efforts

Customer Care Advocate (Homestead, Florida)

Are you genuinely excited to help customers? Are you able to empathize with your customers’ needs and advocate for them when necessary? We are looking for a Customer Care Advocate who can help uphold Q-Lab’s excellent customer service standards. We need a nurturer who will make each customer feel as if they are our only customer.

 

As a member of our Test Services team, your main task will be to efficiently respond to our growing number of customers, all at various stages of the testing process. Some may have just submitted a test for the first time while others may have ongoing testing but have questions about the process.

 

To help ensure Q-Lab Test Services remains a market leader in Weathering and Corrosion Testing, you will be responsible for contacting potential customers who had previously requested quotations but had chosen not to use our services.

 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Contact customers when tests are received

Help with initial test check-in procedures for the Accelerated Lab

Respond to customer service questions on shipping, test initiation, and report whereabouts

Contact customers to obtain missing information and documents

Contact customers for credit card numbers

Continuous ongoing client contact during testing

Assist Technical Services Coordinator with other sales contacts as necessary

Enter miscellaneous events into client contact database

Answer Phones

Fill out vendor forms and have NDA's signed and returned to customers when applicable

Request Proforma Invoices

Follow up on inactive test services customers as needed


SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Minimum 5 years working in the customer service field

Fluency in written and spoken English required

Must be driven to provide excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities for our Technical Sales Representatives

  • Pursue sales leads received from industry ads, trade shows, internet web inquiries and other sources
  • Engage in proactive outbound selling efforts viathe telephone
  • Travel, when required, throughout the U.S. (and internationally, on occasion) to visit existing and new customers to educate, close sales, and build relationships

Technical Unicorn: Talent Acquisition & Development Engineer (Westlake, Ohio)

Reporting to the President, this newly created position will lead Q-Lab’s worldwide hiring, onboarding, coaching and employee development efforts. This critical role combines both strategic planning and ‘hands – on’ leadership and requires a person who has an innate love for science, engineering and technology.  A degree in Engineering, Science, or Manufacturing/ Operations or demonstrated experience is required.  

 

Accountabilities include developing talent management systems, leadership training, recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, compensation analysis, employee retention, succession planning and developing employee satisfaction initiatives. This role requires a person who is comfortable performing tactical responsibilities -- ensuring that HR tools, training and resources are available to support every employee. Responsibilities include:

  

 

Responsible for all locations worldwide, including USA, England, Germany and China.  As such, about 25% travel (international) is required.

 

Understand and identify the capabilities, skill sets and interests of Q-Lab’s human resources and use this data to determine staff development needs and staffing decisions.

 

Manage the recruitment process for Engineers, Scientists, and Manufacturing associates including sourcing, assessments, interviews, and offers.

 

Manage and oversee the development of talent management tools and training in relation to performance, calibration and succession planning for our Engineers, Scientists, and Manufacturing associates.

 

Develop and optimize an applicant tracking system (ATS) to support recruiting operations for Engineers, Scientists, and Manufacturing associates, including the development of forms, strategies and tactics used to acquire talent.

 

Develop a comprehensive and complete data-base of the organization’s distinct roles and job descriptions.

 

Establish innovative sourcing strategies to attract top candidates including job posting optimization, job board procurement, digital and non-digital employment marketing, comprehensive annual recruitment campaign planning, and talent planning.                  

 

Provide leadership in the development and execution of recruitment strategies for all locations.

 

Manage contractual relationships with placement agencies, contract recruiters, job boards, job fairs and various internet job search websites.

 

Develop a comprehensive and meaningful on-boarding system.

 

Oversee compensation programs; analyze job tasks and work processes for new positions and reclassification of current roles; coordinate classification studies and conduct salary surveys.

 

Provide direction, support and expertise for individual development planning.
